The History of Hotpoint
Back in 1903 Earl Richardson, a meter reader and plant superintendent for a company in Ontario, California, designed a small and light-weight version of an electric iron which was first patented in 1882. This was later renamed to Hotpoint.
In 1918 Hotpoint merged with the General Electric Company to create the first brand of Hotpoint appliances.
Between 1924 and 1965 Hotpoint created the first all-white and fully enameled electric range, the first refrigerator on wheels, and the first low-speed agitation clothes washer.
Now, Hotpoint is still one of the leading domestic appliance manufacturers and one of the first names customers think of when looking to buy a new appliance.

Common Hotpoint Faults
Hotpoint washing machine models can sometimes leak from the bottom of the machine when in use. This can happen due to a hole or tear in the rubber door seal which allows water to run through and out through the bottom of the machine.
The Hotpoint dishwasher ranges can sometimes suffer from poor cleaning due to the tablet dispenser not opening during the cycle.
