Hi, My dish washer has the 1st flashing and 5th one lit. I suspect it’s an E1 error. What do I do?

Thank you for your message. If your dishwasher’s 1st light is flashing and the 5th is lit, it likely indicates an E1 error, which usually relates to a water inlet problem. This could be due to low water pressure, a kinked or blocked inlet hose, or a faulty water inlet valve.

Check the water supply is on, the hose is clear, and there are no obstructions. If the issue persists, it may require replacing the inlet valve or further inspection.

We recommend booking an engineer to resolve this safely. Let us know if you’d like help arranging this!

Thank you for your message. The error code you’re seeing, with the second and third LEDs flashing and the fifth one lit, typically indicates an issue with the drainage system in your Smeg dishwasher. The message “no time for draining allowed” suggests that the dishwasher is struggling to drain water properly during its cycle.

This can be caused by a blocked or clogged drain pump, hose, or filter. You should start by checking and cleaning the filter and inspecting the drain hose for any blockages or kinks. If the issue persists after these checks, it’s best to book an engineer to diagnose and repair the fault. Let me know if you need help arranging this!

Thank you for your message, Kerri. An error code “E” without a number typically indicates a general fault with your appliance, but the exact cause can vary depending on the brand and model. It may be related to issues like a water supply problem, a heating fault, or a door lock malfunction.

To start troubleshooting, check that the door is securely closed, the water supply is turned on, and there are no blockages in the filter or hoses. If the issue persists, it’s best to consult the appliance’s manual for more details or book an engineer to diagnose and repair the fault. Let me know if you’d like help arranging a visit!
